Greenland 1963 – Aurora, Plough and Polaris
A classic set of five definitive stamps from Greenland, showing auroral rays
overlying the seven stars of the Plough and the pole star, Polaris. At top left
of each stamp are what appear to be crossed harpoon spear heads. The colours of
the stamps mimic the colours of the aurora, either by chance or design.
