Stonehenge
United Nations Geneva, 1992
Whether Stonehenge was a stone-age astronomical observatory or not, alignments with the rising of the Sun and Moon are undoubtedly embodied in its construction and its mystery continues to fascinate. Stonehenge has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986, and this stamp issued by the United Nations Geneva headquarters commemorates the 20th anniversary of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention.
